This App confirmed that an out of the blue occurrence of severely high blood pressure (210/134) may have been a side effect of a medication that sent me to the ER. I had never heard of "aftermarket" reports and sudden cardiac death and hypertension were listed under this heading. In addition, contact info for the FDA is given for consumers to report reactions to a medication. Upon contacting the FDA, I learned that what I experienced was also reported by other consumers, and I filled out an extensive online form to add to their database. Of course, I do realize that correlation is not causality.
